We have recently interviewed Mr. McDonald and asked him a few questions on his job here at MMS. He has been teaching here for three years, though he also taught his student year at MMS. His favorite part of teaching here is seeing his students grow and reach their goals in life. He likes to work with the team and all of his 7th graders. He has been an Innovator teacher all of his 4 years.
Outside of school Mr. McDonald runs, goes to Bojangles, NC state football and basketball games, and likes to be awesome. Mr.Mcdonald is a great teacher and he is the best social studies teacher for the 7th grade.

MMS now has a new dance teacher. She is described by her students as a funny and creative teacher who has great ideas, and a wonderful imagination.
Mrs. Current started her career at the early age of five taking Russian and classical ballet in the lovely town of Washington D.C. When she was twelve she performed a solo for President Lyndon Johnson, at the White House. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina of Greensboro, and North Carolina State University. She majored in science, dance, and the arts. Later, she received her Principal license and her Academically Gifted teaching certification. While in college, she participated in a college dance company. When she was done with college, Mrs. Current created her own dance company called “Dance Discovery”. This company performed at other schools, for the kids. She then taught in Charlotte for middle and high schools before coming to Wake County. She has now taught for 28 years.
Mrs. Current’s favorite style of dance is modern, but it is followed closely by Hip-hop. When we talked to Mrs. Current, we asked what dance means to her personally. She said “Dance is my way to think, and a way to bring everything together.”
